Our shop and signs at Rainbow Beach Township were stolen just before Christmas 2003.
Our Trustee, the Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service (QPWS), and Queensland Police officers stole our Aboriginal property items.
The theft of a boomerang, being the private property of Elder Jones is most disturbing, inexcusible and totally unacceptable.
For the Queensland Police to be involved in the theft of our property items, this is totally unacceptable and constitutes a most serious and sensitive Australian and international offence towards Australia's indigenous community by a corruption and misuse of the judiciary system.

Below are copies of letters to the Gympie Police, the other to the Queensland Police Commissioner, followed by responses from the Queensland Police and the Minister of the Police and Premier Beattie.

Copy of letter, 10 Jan '04, to Gympie Police Station. The initial report of vandalism to and theft of our shop was reported by phone to the Gympie Police Station on 25 Dec '03.
Copy of letter, 10 Jan '04, to the Queensland Police Commissioner asking him to investigate if his staff were involved in the theft of our Aboriginal property items.
The Commisioner's response will be added to this page as soon as it is received.
