The 1988 Referendum did not approve the recognition of local government
(Refer Question 3 below from the purported Commonwealth government's own web site)
Or should that have read ... "did not legalise local government" ?
If the Constitution was valid, local government would still not be legal as it is not recognised by the Constitution.
