Poem 6

Hooves of gold
Pave the way
For fading light
On summer's day.
Sunset hues
Of pink and red
On sandy dunes
Of tawny thread.
Breezes blow,
Sweep and sway,
In the fading light
Of summer's day.
Waves pull back
After arching hard,
Leave behind
A green bottle shard.
I never did know
What it meant to see
A horse running wild
Alongside the sea -
Waves and mane tossing
And a wild soul free.
