Remains of a small old sawmill. This can be found a small distance up the ridge to the right of the barracks.

The barracks consist of three separate bedrooms and a kitchen/dining room for forestry staff.

The aeroplane 'Beautiful Betsy' crashed into the Kroombit Tops in the 1940's, but was not found until the 1990's.

The Kroombit Tinker frog lives in the Kroombit Tops. They were discovered in the late 1980's
A fence was placed around the area inhabited by this frog, at an expence of about $60,000.
