The
river, billabongs, springs and dams
The
brumbies have a permanent water supply including the Cullen River and Bonrook
Creek, a few natural springs and some dams which maintain water throughout the
dry season.

The Cullen River, which flows well in
the wet season transverses the sanctuary, running mostly in a 5
southerly direction. Above left:

( A billabong is a water hole adjacent a river
or stream which often fills up when a river or stream floods. Sometimes billabongscan
remain full by water seeping underground from the adjacent river or stream.
