Dear Mr Sempf,
Our brumby is only 4 years
old and was purchased a year ago for my husband (who is a beginner rider) and
found him to be more quiet and gentle, and more willing to learn new things than
our other domestic reared horses. He is also registered with the Pinto Horse and
Pony Association Inc, and has been shown in halter and ridden classes at a number
of ag shows this year, where he has been successful on quite a few occasions.
Even at the South East Qld Championships of the 16 classes we entered he won 13
ribbons 1 of which was First place in Newcomer Handler which I was very pleased
with. Not to mention in our opinion he was the best behaved horse there. We are
by no means experienced in this area, this being our first year showing horses.
But the experience has been made easier I believe due to our horses lovely nature,
and he is always willing to please. I have attached a couple of photos of our
horse Sparkling ColourCo, they were taken in August the day before we competed
at the Gold Coast Show. I believe ColourCo is a good example of the fact that
brumbies can be gentled, and can contribute a lot to the equine world. Thankyou
for your time.
Yours sincerely Joy Conn
